Being A Woman

Being A Woman

I am a woman, a mother, a wife , a sister, a therapist..... but the first role that  I assumed was that of a daughter.

The day I was born, I made my mother a mother. A first for both of us. Being married or not, is immaterial, but this role of a mother and daughter can never ever be different.

A lot is happening around us, in this world, women are trying to survive, struggle and still acheive so much in life. Indian womanhood has seen the change in leaps and bounds. From the navy to the airforce and army, being a politcian, to an enterprenaur, a doctor, a judge ..... the roles are myraid, but the role of a nurturer is the foremost.

Mother nature has made a woman a nurturer, the powerhouse of shakti and love.

Is it not amazing, how the roles keep changing in life? Th daughter who was once nurtured by the mother, then takes on the role of the nurturer for the same mother.

I would not change my identity or role for anything.

Do leave in the comments, what your journey has been like, being a woman.

Indeed, a woman becomes a nurturer even if she doesn't get married or have children. She takes care of her parents and if she's married she nurtures bothe the parents as well as the husband's family. Sometimes an elder daughter grows up too early and starts taking care of the siblings. My journey has not been different from others, nurturing my husband's family more than my own parents though. In my case my elder daughter started nurturing me, sad but true!
